Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
Today in this post I will tell you how you can know which bit (32-bit and 64-bit) of operating system you are using. Whenever you download any software most of the time you were asked to choose whether you want to download for Windows 32-bit (x86) or Windows 64-bit (x64). Because the terms 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) refer to the way a computer’s processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of RAM (Random Access Memory) more effectively than a 32-bit system.
In today’s world most of the Windows computer are being used in 32-bit. But you are not sure that your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit, so to know I will tell you two very simple ways.
For any Windows users go to Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> System Information
There you search for System Type (somewhere at 8th line) you will see written x86-based PC or x64-based PC
x86-based PC = 32-bit
x64-based PC = 64-bit
And for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can Right-Click on My Computer and select Properties, then a dialog-box will open in that dialog-box search for System Type you will get which bit you are using.
Hope this will help you to finding your System type, if you have any questions or problems let me know.
