Today in this post I will tell you how you can split large files or folder into small files. If you want to send a large file to your friend or family and as there is size limitation per email so you won’t be able to send that large file through email. There you can use WinRAR, it will not only help you in splitting files but also compress your file size while splitting.
Download it from here, after you downloaded it and installed it in your computer. Now follow these steps to split your file or folder.
- Right-click on the file or folder you want to split
- Select Add to archive…
- Now a popup will open, in that popup you will see Split to volumes, bytes field (at bottom-left corner)
- In that field type the desired maximum size
- Click on OK button
Now your file or folder is getting split into the size you mention. After it gets completed you need to send all that files to the person you want to send. If you have any question or problem let me know.
