Add Avatar Beside The Name Of Your Comment In WordPress Based Blogs

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
Today in this post I will tell you how you can add image to your WordPress profile, comment box (on WordPress based blogs). When I was new to WordPress I always huge to think how other people show there avatar in comment box of every WordPress based blogs, just by putting their name and email address. One day I thought today I have to find out how they show I search about it a lot and finally I got to know.

Today let me tell you how you can put your avatar

  1. Go to Gravatar.com
  2. Signup for an account (if you already have an account log in to your account, you can also use your WordPress.com ID and password to login)
  3. After you login
  4. Go to My Account –> Add an Image
  5. Click on My computer’s hard drive
  6. Gravatar - My computer's hard drive

  7. Then click on Choose file (navigate and select the image you want to use as your avatar)
  8. Click on Next button
  9. Gravatar - Select a file from your computer

  10. Crop the image according to your wish
  11. Click on Crop and Finish! Button
  12. Now rate your image according to your wish
  13. Gravatar - Choose a rating for your Gravatar

  14. Select an email address (on which you want to display your avatar)
  15. Click on Use for selected addresses button
  16. Gravatar - Where would you like to use this image

Now whenever you will comment (on WordPress based blogs) using your email address (which you have used in Gravatar) your avatar will display beside your comment. And if you changed your avatar in Gravatar website then all your past comment avatar will also get changed.

Today in this post I will tell you how you can get the old version of Facebook Photo viewer. Facebook recently rolled out a new version of Photo viewer which is somehow looks like theater view. But most of people (including me) didn’t like it. And want to use view photos as we huge to see before. Because 1st and the main thing loading time is increased, if they have less space then also they haven’t removed the ads it started showing beside comments, share with non-Facebook users link is not appearing and many more reasons.

For Google Chrome users

You can use a Chrome extension called Old FB Album by shobankr.

For Firefox users

1st you need to download Greasemonkey Script Add-ons in your Firefox browser then install a User Scripts called facebook Photo Theater Killer.

For other browser users

Click on the photo let the new photo viewer gets loaded then you need to refresh that page (F5 is the shortcut key) now it will load the old photo viewer. Or you can simply right-click on photo and select open in a new window/tab, it will always open old photo viewer in new window or tab.

Image Light Box For Blogger.com Blog And WordPress Blog Users

Today in this post I will tell you how you can use Light Box in Blogger.com blog. Light Box is an image viewer and all of you must have show the Image viewer on my blog, if you didn’t show click on the below image to see demo.

When I was on Blogger.com I wanted this feature on my Blogger.com blog but didn’t knew how I can use it but when I shifted to WordPress I finally got it on my blog and if you are also on WordPress you can use Slimbox plugin. And if you are Blogger.com user and want this on your Blogger.com blog here how can

  1. Go to Blogger.com
  2. Login to your account
  3. Now go to Design –> Edit HTML
  4. Blogger Dashboard -- Design

  5. Their search for <head> opening tag
  6. Copy-past the below code just after the <head> opening tag

  12. Login to your account
  13. Now go to NEW POST
  14. Compete your post (write, insert, whatever you want to do in that post)
  15. After you competed (also inserted the image) click on Edit HTML tab
  16. Add this code in every a tag before every img tag
  17. rel="lightbox[ALBUM-NAME]" title="IMAGE-CAPTION"

    For example see below

  18. Now change the ALBUM-NAME and IMAGE-CAPTION with your album name and image caption
  19. And publish the post

You can use the left and right arrow key to change the image and Esc to close Light Box. If you want to make more than one set (album) of images in same page change the album name in the other set. The difference between in both the set (album) is you can’t change the image without closing the image viewer (Light Box)
