Setup Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) For Your Blog Or Website

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine
Today in this post I will tell you how you can make your own Google Custom Search Engine for your blog or website. If you have a blog on Blogger.com, WordPress, etc then most of you must be using their default search which is not so good with its results. There is another good option is you can use Google Custom Search Engine, which will give results only for your blog or website you want. You can track your visitors what they are searching for and you can make some money with it using Google AdSense.

Let’s start setting up a Google Custom Search Engine for your blog or website

  1. Go to Google.com/cse
  2. Click on Create a Custom Search Engine button
  3. Login to your account (if you are not logged in)
  4. Fill the form accordingly
  5. Click on Next button
  6. 1. Set up your search engine

  7. Select the style you want to use (you can change or customize it later)
  8. Click on Next button
  9. 2. Try it out

  10. Now copy the code and past it where you want to display your search box and results
  11. 3. Get the code

To change style you will see option Change the look and feel. from where you copy the code (of you can go to this page click on control panel beside the name of CSE you want to change, then select Look and feel from left side column), click on Look and feel and make changes as you want.

Note: – After making any change in Look and feel section don’t forget to update the code by going to this page click on control panel beside the name of CSE you want to change, then select Get code and copy-past the code again.

For instance I have implemented a search box in this page
