How To Change Default Download Location Of Your Web Browser

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
Today in this post I will tell you how change the default download location of your web browser. When we download or save anything using a web browser, for some of you (or sometimes) it may ask where to save and for some of you it may directly save in a default location. You might always have to select your preferred location every time you download and when your web browser don’t ask you and save it in a default location then you have start searching where it got saved.

In general default location can be
For Windows XP users: My Documents –> Downloads

For Windows Vista and 7 users: My Computer –> System Drive (C:\) –> Users –> USER A/C YOU ARE LOGED INTO –> Downloads

But if you want to change download default location in your web browser here how you can for Chrome, Epic, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.

Chrome

  1. Open your Google Chrome browser
  2. Click on Customize and control button  (top-right corner of the browser)
  3. Now click on Options
  4. Chrome - Options

  5. Select Under the Hood tab
  6. Under Downloads, click on Change… button
  7. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  8. Chrome - Options -- Under the Hood -- Change…

Epic

  1. Open your Epic browser
  2. Go to Tool –> Options… –> General
  3. Epic - Tool -- Options…

  4. Under Downloads click on Browse… button
  5. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  6. Then click on OK button
  7. Epic - General -- Downloads

Firefox

  1. Open your Firefox browser
  2. Press Alt (if you can’t see the menu bar at top)
  3. Now go to Tool –> Options… –> General
  4. Firefox - Tool -- Options...

  5. Under Downloads click on Browse… button
  6. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  7. Then click on OK button
  8. Firefox - General -- Downloads

IE (Internet Explorer)

  1. Open your IE browser
  2. Press Alt (if you can’t see the menu bar at top)
  3. Now go to Tools –> View downloads
  4. IE - Tools -- View downloads

  5. And the bottom-left corner you will see Options, click on it
  6. Now click on Browse… button
  7. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  8. Then click on OK button
  9. IE - View Downloads -- Options -- Browse…

Note: – This may not available in all IE browsers, but while downloading or saving it will ask you where you want to save.

Opera

  1. Open your Opera browser
  2. Go to Menu –> Settings –> Preferences… –> Advanced –> Downloads
  3. Opera - Menu -- Settings -- Preferences…

  4. Under Download folder, click on Choose… button
  5. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  6. Then click on OK button
  7. Opera - Preferences -- Advanced -- Downloads

Safari

  1. Open your Safari browser
  2. Press Alt (if you can’t see the menu bar at top)
  3. Now go to Edit –> Preferences… –> General
  4. Safari - Edit -- Preferences…

  5. Beside Save downloaded files to, from drop-down select Other…
  6. Now navigate and select the folder where you always want to save your downloaded files
  7. Safari - General -- Save downloaded files to
