How To Verify Your HostGator Account Using Skype?

Today I am going to help you in verifying your HostGator hosting Account. Few days back I have buy a hosting account from HostGator and my account got active instant but after two days when I was trying to login to my HostGator account I couldn’t able to. I was gating an error Login Attempt Failed! So I got worried a lot, I have tried to login at least five times wondering maybe I am typing my password wrong.

But even after that when I couldn’t able to login to my account in my mind many things where coming like did they disable my account? or am I got hacked? and many other such things where coming. Now I was wondering that if I called them it will going to cost me Rs.9/min (approx) and don’t know how much time will they take to verify. So I show what the other option I have to verify. Other option was to give the scan copy of my ID proof (issued by Govt.) and Credit card. And I don’t have my Credit Card I have used someone else card but due to some personal reason even I couldn’t able to send the scan copy of Credit card. Next day in my mind came I can try using Skype as they have option to call all over the world might I can try there Toll-free and if it worked it wont cost me anything.

As it came in my mind instantly

1. I opened my Skype application

2. Logged into my account

3. Gone to call option (where I can dial the number)

4. I selected US as country code

5. Dialed there number

As it started ringing I got so happy as because I saved my money in making an international call. And when they verify it took 5 to 6 minutes to verify that mean I saved near about Rs.45 😀

Should You Turn On Google AdSense Allowed Sites Option?

Today in this post I will tell you about Google AdSense Allowed Sites option. I was thinking about AdSense Allowed Sites option from many days, will it help me in my AdSense earning or not, and if it will help, then how? So I got some points on how it will help and how it will not.

How it will help if you are using this feature, these things can happen with anyone,

v When someone copy your AdSense ads code (copying anyone’s AdSense ads code is very easy) and paste in on their site, sites which can violations AdSense policies which can bring your AdSense account in danger and also your account can get block forever.

v If you have a competitor or enemy who wants that you to use AdSense they can massively click on your AdSense ads and get your account banned.

v There are some crazy persons also who click on ads just for fun. (I have a friend like that, I restricted him not to go on my any of my blog… :P)

v Like if you are a developer and you are creating a WordPress theme, for testing purpose you have placed your AdSense ads code on that theme and later on you have forgotten to remove your AdSense ads code and you have uploaded it and made that theme available to for public use. Now people who will download your theme will use it on their localhost or online with your AdSense ads code. Now if you want to turn on the Allowed Sites option here are steps

Using AdSense old interface

1. Go to AdSense.com

2. Login to you account

3. Go to AdSense Setup –> Allowed Sites

4. Now select Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account

5. Now list all the site/blog you have

6. Then click on Save Changes

Using AdSense new interface

1. Go to AdSense.com

2. Login to you account

3. Go to Home –> Account settings –> Access and authorization (at the bottom of the page)

4. Now tick Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account box

5. Now list all the site/blog you have

6. Then click on Save

Note: while listing your blog or site name do not add WWW in your domain name

Will you turn it on? As personally I am not using it.

Delhi Traffic Police using Facebook to catch Law Breakers

In this post I will tell you how Delhi Police is taking help from Facebook page to control the traffic. As you all may know Delhi have lots of rule breaker drivers. Who ignores the red light, road crossing people, bicycles or bus lanes to make their ways.

In an official Facebook page of Delhi Traffic Police (DTP), we general public have an opportunity to register complain against rule breaking drivers without harassing our self, we just have to take the photo of the vehicle with their vehicle No. Plate and post it on DTP official page with the details (like: explanation of incidence with the photo proof, time of the incidence, where the incident held, and vehicle no. plate with the photo proof).

As 2010 Commonwealth Game (CWG) will start in the month of October, this Facebook page will help DTP a lot to manage and control Delhi traffic. Only 5,000 traffic police to manage more then 12 million people traffic… But now we general public holds hand in hand with DTP to manage traffics so that during 2010 CWG traffic should not be concerned as a huge problem. They have made 19k+ follower in Facebook page and they also have a twitter profile where they have 1,300+ followers.
