How To Auto Import Blog Feeds To Facebook Notes

Today in this post I will tell you how you can auto import your blog post into Facebook Notes. Whenever you make a blog post you post your new post link to Facebook, Twitter and other places manually but using Facebook Notes you can update your Facebook Pages automatically whenever you make a blog post. Facebook Notes

  1. Go to Facebook.com
  2. Login to your account
  3. Go to your Facebook Pages in which you want to add Facebook Notes auto update
  4. Now click on Notes tab (if you don’t have Notes tab click on + sign and click on Notes)

    5. + sign -- Notes

  5. At the bottom-left column click on Edit import settings

  6. Now give the URL of you blog feed at the place of Web URL: Enter a website or RSS/Atom feed address
  7. If you accept their agreement then tick that box
  8. Click on Start Importing button

    9. Import an External Blog

  9. Once detect your feed you will see all your post in the feed imported to Facebook
  10. Click on Confirm button

Now in every couple of hours Facebook will search for new updates in your feed if they find anything new they will post it in your page as Notes. But once the Notes get created you will not able to edit it.

Create Cool Vodafone Pug Signatures

Today in this post I will tell you how you can create cool looking Pug Signature. As few days back Mobile Number Portability (MNP) launched so now to attract customer Vodafone have made a Facebook application by which you can make some Vodafone’s Pug Signature Banners.

Create A Cool Signature

  1. Go to apps.facebook.com/pugsignature
  2. Login to your Facebook account (if not logged in)
  3. It will ask you to grant access to your some personal details
  4. Click on Allow button (if you want them to access your access your details)
  5. Select a signature banner you want to use
  6. Now fill the form with your details (you can see the demo above how your banner will look with your details)
  7. Then click on Submit button
  8. Once you click on submit it will publish it on your wall
  9. If you want to save it in your computer click on Download button
  10. Now it will take it to the photo which got publish on your wall (after submitting)
  11. At the bottom-right side menu click on Download in High Resolution
  12. Now that Pug signature is saved in your computer

How To Embed Facebook Videos Anywhere On Your Blog Or Website

Today in this post I will tell you how you can embed Facebook Videos on your blog or website. All of you see videos everyday on YouTube, Facebook and other many different sites. But when you like a video and want to share it with your visitors. So what you do, if it is a YouTube video you embed it on your page and when that video is from Facebook do you put the link of that video which goes that video page on Facebook? It is not necessary that all your visitors have a Facebook account. So you can embed that video on your webpage.

Embed Facebook Videos

Here what you have to do.

  1. Go to that video page which you want to embed (for example we will use this video link http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1246153453292)
  2. Every Facebook video have a unique ID which you will get in video URL
    For our example video URL, video ID is 1246153453292
  3. Now copy that video ID and replace it with VIDEO-ID in below code (there are two place where you have replace)

  5. Now copy that code (with the replaced video ID) and past it where ever you want
  6. You can also change the height and width according to your need

Export Your Facebook Friend’s Contact Details

There is a Google Chrome extension by Mohamed Mansour which let you export your Facebook friend’s data to your computer as CSV or in your Gmail account. You will able to export Name, Emails, Phone numbers, Screen names, and Websites which are shared with you by your friends.

Let see how you can do it

  1. Go to Facebook Friend Exporter extension page
  2. Click on Install button

  3. After your extension get install go to Facebook.com
  4. There you will see a new option called Export friends! is added in your Facebook menu bar, click on it

  6. It will take you to Edit Friends page (don’t close this page) and also open a new tab/window

  10. Now you will see all your friends (if you have many friends it may take time to load page)

    13. Now wait if you have many friends (in hundreds) then it will take hours because Facebook don’t allow visiting more than 60 profiles in an hour. By the time you can continue doing whatever you like in a new tab/window. If you closed the tab/window you can continue till where it was left just follow from the step 4 as because it cached all the data in your computer.

  13. After it cached all your friends you will see a massage in top box
  14. If you want to skip any friend data just uncheck them (by default all are checked)
  15. Now click on Gmail button if you want to save data in Google Contacts

  16. Then it will ask you to access your Google Contacts (if you are not login it will ask you to login to your Gmail account in which you want to save)
  17. Now click on Grant access button

  18. Now all your data is saved in Gmail Contacts with a label name called Importde from Facebook
  19. Or click on CSV button if you want to save it in CSV

  20. A blog will appear where you will see all your data
  21. Open a notepad
  22. Copy-past that data into that notepad
  23. Save (Ctrl + S) the notepad
  24. While saving select All files (*.*) in Save as type option
  25. Then give the name to that file after the name put .csv
  26. Now save the file

It might be looking big task but when you will do it is not at all a big task, I have just written each and every steps that why it may be looking big takes.

Note: – Use this extension on your own risk, Facebook Terms doesn’t allow you to use any such things. Facebook Terms says “You will not collect users’ content or information, or otherwise access Facebook, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without our permission.”

Get Your Desired Vanity URL For Your Facebook Pages

In this post I will tell you how to you can have a vanity URL for your Facebook Pages. Before I told you how you can have a Username for your Facebook profile which is also give you a vanity URL for your Facebook Profile. And by having a vanity URL for your Facebook Pages you can also get a small desired page URL for your Facebook Pages then that long URL with lots of characters and numbered. So it gets good effect on your page and also it effect if you are using it for your business, blog, website and other such work. It gets easy to remember the URL for your visitors.

Here are the steps to get a vanity URL for your Facebook Pages
1.       Go to Facebook.com
2.       Login to your account
3.       After you login go to Facebook.com/username
4.       There you will see a box written Each Page can have a username
5.       In that box there is a drop-down from which you can select the page for which you want a vanity URL
6.       Now select a page you want
7.       Then you will see a small box have appear where you can type vanity URL you want
For e.g.: if you want Facebook.com/Jajodia.Saket then just type Jajodia.Saket

8.       Then click on Check Availability button

9.       If that vanity URL is available for you then you will see a popup if not then choose another vanity URL
10.   In that popup they are telling read it carefully
i)        You can’t change the username of PAGE NAME once you set it.
ii)       You can’t transfer the ownership of a username to another party.
iii)     You can’t violate anyone elses trademark rights.
iv)     If you are acquiring a username to sell it in the future (squatting), you will lose it.
v)      Usernames may be reclaimed for other unauthorized usages.

11.   Now click on Confirm button

Now you can tell your page URL easily and if that page is your official page then you can also use it in your Business Card (Visiting Card)

Note: – Once you have chosen the URL for you page you can’t change it and to get a vanity URL you must have at least 25 fans in your page.
