Take Backup Online By Sending Mail To BackupElf

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
In this post I will tell you how you will able to take backup online (backup of anything your files, conversations through emails), just by sending emails. This service is provided by a new website called BackupElf, simple send them your file/massages using any email service.

To use this service you don’t need to fill any form or need to signup. Just send an email to Save@BackupElf.com (with the things you want to take backup of) and they will create your new account automatically as they receive your first mail from your email address. Even if you send them a “Cc:“ instead of putting their ID in “To:” place.

If you have multiple email account you can link all your email account to the one BackupElf account and when you will send anything from those emails which are linked will get stored in your same BackupElf account.

You will get 100MB in trial version (free version) and if you want more than 100 MB you can go for paid account. They have 3 packages for you:

And you don’t have worry about your file as they are all well categorized in different groups (like: images, videos, audios, archive and etc) and all the things are stored in Amazon AWS S3.

Volkswagen Audio Newspaper Ads In Times Of India (TOI)

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
In this post I will tell you about a new innovative ad in a printed newspaper. This morning (21st Sept 2010) the readers of Times of India (TOI) newspaper where got an innovative ad by Volkswagen in the last page of paper. The ad looks like a regular full page ad, as people turned to the last page of newspaper the ad start taking by itself.


This ad goes on playing with endless loop till you close the paper. Every paper caring a small thin speaker (see in the below image). According to livemint this ad cost `7crore.

Reading the online reactions, most people seem to have been left impressed by Volkswagen’s marketing though the ad did create some confusion at one of the airports as bhatnaturally points out:

New Twitter.com

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
In this post I will tell you about New Twitter. Today Twitter announced their new layout and features in twitter .com, which is going to be a good challenge for all the Twitter Desktop Apps.


In new Twitter 1st of all you will notice two wide panels and a navigation (nav) bar on top. Left panel is for Timeline and the right panel is for the other details, you will also see the right panel size is become twice as before, so that you can get more details.

If you click on a tweet, it will appear on the right panel with extra details like: how many people who have retweeted it and if that tweet contains any video or image link it will get embedded below, for that Twitter have partnered with 16 companies like YouTube, Flickr, USTREAM, TwitPic and so on.

Now you have a shortcut button to tweet in right side of nav bar and @Mentions, Retweets, Searches and List option gone at the top in Timeline panel.

As before if you visit any profile’s or your own Followers and Following list you huge to see their last tweet but now you will see their bio written below.

Now if you click on geotag it will open within the same page. Not as before it will open a new Google Maps window.

Twitter Settings options is as before it was, no changes in that.

Invisible Mouse

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
Today in this post I will tell you about a project done by Pranav Mistry (Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the MIT Fluid Interfaces Group). Pranav Mistry made a mouse which is not only wireless but also Mouseless, which means there is NO MOUSE which you can touch. He calls it Invisible Computer Mouse.


It works on infrared (IR) laser beam and IR camera, which help to detect your hand position and actions. You just need to make your hand as cupped shape which pretends you are handling a mouse in your hand and IR laser beam and camera will detect your movement and clicks.

It is now a research project so we won’t get try to it, till it won’t come out for commercial use. On this project as Pranav Mistry said it only cost $20. So when it come mass production for commercial use it can be cheaper.
