How To Inform Internet Explorer 6 Users To Upgrade Their Web Browser

Hi! Everyone, hope you all are fine.
Today in this post I will tell you how you can inform IE6 (Internet Explorer 6) users to upgrade their browser. Last month I have told you about the number of users of IE6, which is now the most out dated and unsecure web browser. So there are some ways by which you can inform IE6 users who visit your web site using IE6 to upgrade their web browser.

Here are few link where you can get code which will help you in telling your IE6 visitors/users to upgrade there web browser.

  1. Browser-Update.org: here it will show a simple yellow bar on top of the page with the following text using JavaScript
  2. Your browser (Internet Explorer 6) is out of date. It has known security flaws and may not display all features of this and other websites. Learn how to update your browser

And by clicking on it, it will take you to browser-update.org/update.html

  3. browserupgrade.info/tools/: here it will show white to light blue gradient in background on top of the page with the following text in an iframe
  4. Your browser is outdated which brings along some security issues!
Download Internet Explorer 7 and experience the internet better, faster and safer!

And by clicking on it, it will take you to microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

  5. IE6Update.com: this will show the simple yellow bar on top of the page with the following text
  6. Internet Explorer is missing updates required to view this site. Click here to update…

And by clicking on it, it will take you to microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

  7. IE6CountDown.com/join-us.aspx: this will show yellow to orange gradient in background on top of the page with the following text in an image
  8. You are using an outdated version of Internet Explorer. For a faster, safer browsing experience UPGRADE TODAY

And by clicking on it, it will take you to windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home?ocid=ie6_countdown_bannercode

  9. DevSlide.com/labs/browser-detection: this one is the best from all the above as I think, it will let you customize yourself, how the alert should appear, which browser should show in suggestion to upgrade, what text should show, etc.

If you have any question or problem let me know.
